Mally Tenant

What is Mally Tenant?

Mally Tenant is a fully dedicated deployment of the Mally platform — your own instance, your own domain, your own brand. This guide explains the three tiers and who each one is for.

The three tiers

Mally has three deployment options. They share the same core platform but differ in infrastructure, ownership, and management:

Mally Cloud

Shared hosted

The simplest option. You sign up at mally.click, create your account, and start using the platform immediately. All infrastructure is managed by Mally — you share servers and databases with other users. Your data is isolated by account but physically stored on shared infrastructure. Best for individuals and small businesses who want to run their own email marketing without managing a platform.

  • Instant setup — no provisioning delay
  • No server management
  • Shared infrastructure with other users
  • Mally-branded login page
  • Cannot white-label the platform UI

Mally Tenant — Managed

Dedicated, Mally manages

A fully dedicated Mally instance on a server that belongs to you. Your own database, your own application server, your own domain. Mally provisions, deploys, maintains, updates, and monitors everything — but it runs under your brand, on your domain, and your clients log in to what looks like your product.

  • Dedicated server and database
  • Full white-label — your brand, your domain, your logo
  • Mally manages all server ops (updates, security, monitoring)
  • $499 one-time setup + $69.99/month
  • Typically live within 1 business day
  • Unlimited client sub-accounts

Mally Tenant — License

Self-hosted

You purchase a license for the Mally platform and deploy it on your own infrastructure. You control the server, the database, the deployment, the updates — everything. Mally provides the codebase and support documentation but does not manage the server.

  • Full code license — deploy on your own infra
  • $2,999 one-time payment, no monthly fee to Mally
  • You are responsible for server management
  • Requires technical capability to deploy and maintain
  • Full white-label support
  • Best for tech-capable teams with existing infra

What "dedicated" means

When Mally provisions a Tenant Managed instance, you get a server that is exclusively yours:

  • Dedicated database

Your subscriber data, campaign history, and analytics are in a database that no other Mally customer shares. This is important for data isolation, compliance, and performance at scale.

  • Dedicated domain

Your platform runs on your domain (e.g. send.youragency.com). Your clients log in there, not at mally.click. No Mally branding appears anywhere in the UI they see.

  • Dedicated sending identity

Your SES credentials are set up on your instance only. Your bounce reputation, complaint rates, and sending history belong entirely to your domain.

  • Isolated application

Your application server runs independently. A load spike or issue on another Mally customer's instance has no effect on yours.

Who Tenant is for

Mally Tenant is designed for two types of operators:

  • Agencies managing multiple clients

If you run email marketing as a service for clients, Tenant lets you offer a branded platform that looks like your own product. Clients log in to "Acme Marketing Platform", not Mally. You earn margin on the platform subscription and differentiate from agencies running everything through shared tools.

  • Entrepreneurs building a platform business

If you want to offer email marketing as a service to a niche market (e.g. restaurants, real estate agents, fitness studios), Tenant gives you a complete, ready-built platform to go to market with. No development required — Mally provides the software, you provide the brand and the customers.

Mally Cloud is better suited to a business or individual running their own list — not reselling the platform to clients.

Pricing model

Mally Tenant Managed is priced at a flat rate:

  • $499 one-time setup fee: Paid when you apply. Covers server provisioning, domain configuration, SSL setup, and deployment.
  • $69.99/month recurring: Covers your dedicated server, all platform updates, security monitoring, backups, and technical support. No per-user or per-email fees paid to Mally.
  • AWS SES costs billed separately: Email sending costs go directly to your AWS account at ~$0.10 per 1,000 emails. Mally has no visibility into or markup on your SES usage.

There is no limit on the number of clients, subscribers, or campaigns on your Tenant instance. You can charge clients whatever you like — Mally does not participate in your client billing.
